Within the framework of the Slovenian Museum of Natural History, the Slovenian Bird Ringing Centre is also functioning. The main purpose of ringing is to study migrations of birds and their lives. In the Juliana Alpine Botanical Garden in Trenta, several birds can be observed, too, where experts (ornithologists) can identify them by their vocalization. During the workshop, nets will be set up in the vicinity of the garden to demonstrate how the ringing procedure is carried out. Visitors can bring their binoculars and folding chairs with them. The workshop will be coordinated by Dare Fekonja from the Slovenian Bird Ringing Centre.
