Considering the lively geological processes in the past, the diversity of rocks and climate, Slovenia is one of the richest regions in Europe as far as plants are concerned. It is home to species that reach the extreme limit of their distribution here, as well as to plants that cannot be found outside our country. Juliana boasts a rich selection of these plants as well as plants that are rare in Europe and due to various factors endangered, which is the reason why they have been protected as Natura 2000 species. During the guided tours you will learn which Slovenian plant specialties thrive in Juliana.
