In 2023, 300 years will pass since the birth of Joannes Antonius Scopoli (1723–1788), a naturalist, who was the first in the 18th century to describe the flora and fauna of Carniola scientifically and thus a large part of today’s Slovenian territory. He was the initiator of modern science on our territory and presented nature of Carniola to the wider world. The guided tours in Juliana will therefore focus also on species that are related to this great botanist.
